  • There is not the smallest particle of wood exposed in the building, excepting the window shades.

  • The tonnage of the material that entered into the building construction, 20,042 tons, would require 2,004 cars of 20,000 pounds capacity each to haul same, making eighty freight trains of twenty-five cars each, or one solid train sixteen miles in length.

  • Comparing this building with other buildings in the United States, this building is undoubtedly fully equal to any building that has been erected for similar purposes, being excelled in a few cases only in the matter of extravagant and unnecessary ornamentation.
